Affordable dental care is here — including denture services and preventive care!

Hopetown Dental proudly supports the Canadian Dental Care Plan. If you’re eligible, many of your dental costs may now be covered — and we’ll help you every step of the way.

Who Qualifies for the CDCP?

You may be eligible if you meet all of the following:

• You do not have access to private dental insurance
• Your adjusted family net income is under $90,000/year
• You have filed your tax return for the previous year
• You are a Canadian resident

The plan is currently being rolled out in phases based on age:

Age Group Applications Open:

• 70+ Now open
• 65–69 Now open
• 60–64 Now open
• 50–59 Now open
• 18–49 Now open
• Children under 18 Now open

What Services Are Covered?

The CDCP helps cover a wide range of essential dental services, including:

• Exams & cleanings
• X-rays
• Fillings
• Extractions
• Root canal treatments
• Denture services (full and partial)
• Periodontal care (cleanings)
• Preventive care like fluoride and sealants

Services must be deemed medically necessary and eligible under CDCP guidelines.

We Have an In-House Denturist!

At Hopetown Dental, we offer complete denture care in-house, including consultations, fittings, repairs, and relines — so you don’t have to go anywhere else.

Important: You May Still Have a Copayment

While the CDCP covers a percentage of treatment costs based on your income, all patients will have a copayment, as the reimbursement fees set by the federal plan are lower than the Ontario Dental Association Fee Guide.

Here’s a breakdown:

• Income Level Coverage Amount Patient Copayment
• Under $70,000 Up to 100% Minor difference due to fee guide gap
• $70,000–$79,999 60% covered You pay ~40% + fee difference
• $80,000–$89,999 40% covered You pay ~60% + fee difference
