Dental Anxiety

Don’t let fear keep you from achieving your dream smile!

About Dental Anxiety

Dental anxiety is a common feeling of fear or nervousness that many people experience when visiting the dentist. It can stem from a variety of sources, including previous negative experiences, fear of pain or discomfort, and general anxiety about dental procedures.

However, with the right dentist, dental anxiety can be overcome. Our caring and compassionate team can help alleviate fears by explaining procedures in detail, taking the time to listen to concerns, and offering gentle techniques to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Additionally at Hopetown Dental, we offer sedation options such as nitrous oxide or oral sedatives for those with severe anxiety. Our team works hard to help our patients with dental anxiety so patients can receive the care they need without undue stress or discomfort.

If you have dental anxiety, don’t let it prevent you from receiving the dental care you need.

Come visit us at Hopetown Dental, where we will provide you with everything we can, to help you feel comfortable and at ease. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality of care and a positive dental experience.

FAQs

With laughing gas, the effect last only minutes so it is safe to drive. With other types of sedation, you are required to have someone pick you up, drive you home, and stay with you.
We recommend no food or drink for 2 hours before minimal sedation and only clear fluids for 8 hours before moderate sedation appointments.
At Hopetown Dental, we pride ourselves on gentle dentistry. Every step is taken to ensure that all your procedures are as comfortable as possible.
